This website is an official online publication of the Ontario Dental Association.
The Ontario Dental Association is the voluntary, not-for-profit professional association that represents the dentists of Ontario, supports members in the provision of exemplary oral health services, and promotes the attainment of optimal health for the people of Ontario. It must collect and retain certain personal information in order to provide services to you. Protecting your privacy is important to us. Accordingly, we have established a Privacy Policy, as well as Confidentiality Standards for our employees, to ensure that your personal information is protected by appropriate security safeguards.
Why We Require Personal Information
We also collect personal information that you choose to share with us in the registration and interactive portions of this website. This information may include personal information, e-mail addresses and your answers to questions. This information is only collected with your permission. We collect this information, should you decide to provide it to us, to provide you with the services and information being offered in accordance with ODA’s main Privacy Policy.
E-mail Communications, Newsletters And Related Services
We may occasionally send you informational e-mails or surveys. These e-mails may include links to this website or to the websites of other organizations. To enable this website to tailor our communications to your interests, we may track the web links that you click on. This tracked information will only be used to analyze your interest in our communications, and in keeping with website’s main Privacy Policy, will not be shared with any other organizations. Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can access the web pages referenced in those e-mails and your visit will not be tracked. Protecting Your Personal Information

We collect no personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information to us. We do not use techniques that collect personal information about you without your knowledge. How We Use Non-Personal Information
ODA’s Web site operating system may automatically record some general information about your visit, such as:
The Internet domain for your Internet service provider, such as “company.com” or “service.ca” and the IP address of the computer accessing the website, such as “ppp-55”. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to your computer whenever you access the Internet. IP addresses allow computers and servers to recognize and communicate with one another. IP addresses are used to properly administer our system and to gather aggregate information on visitors to our site and how our site is being used, including the pages visitors are viewing. To maintain your anonymity, we do not associate IP addresses with records containing personal information. We will use IP address information, however, to personally identify you when necessary to enforce our legal rights or when required to do so by law enforcement authorities.

The date and time you visit our site and the web pages that you visit on our site, along with the address of the previous website you were visiting, if you linked to us from another website. E-commerce
Some areas of our site may allow you to conduct e-commerce transactions. In connection with these transactions, we securely collect data necessary to complete the transaction and that is furnished by you.

The ODA will be pleased to inform you of the existence, any use, and disclosure of personally identifying information, and provide you with access to that Personal Information, within 30 (thirty) days of a receipt of a written request directed by fax or mail to website, Chief Privacy Officer. To request a change or delete information that has previously been provided by you to us, write to website, Chief Privacy Officer with the details of your request. When You Leave This Site
This policy discloses the privacy practices for our website. However, our site contains links to other sites, including sites that may indicate a special relationship with us.
