General information

All Category 1 (Core), 2 and 3 courses are included in the All Access registration package. All Category 2 and 3 courses are included in the General Registration Package. All Hands-on Workshops: fees will be listed in the ASM Show Guide.

Prerequisite Courses for Workshops

Some workshops have prerequisites, and this information is listed under the course descriptors.

For a workshop with a prerequisite requirement, attendees must register for the course or they will not be allowed to access the hands-on workshop. This information, along with attendance limits, is listed in the course descriptor.

Course Times

Course times will be staggered for ASM27. The exact times will be listed in each course descriptor and in the Daily Schedules pages of the ASM27 Show Guide.

Speaker Handouts

ASM 26 speaker handouts are available until July 31, 2026.

Out-Of-Province/Country Dentists

Out-of-province/country dentists are asked to verify their CE requirements with their respective provincial regulatory authority and to submit their own attendance verification report to their provincial authority.

ADA CERP

The Ontario Dental Association is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual activities or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by the board of dentistry. Concerns or complaints about a continuing education provider may be directed to the provider or the ADA CERP.

Academy of General Dentistry (AGD)

The formal continuing education programs of this provider are accepted by the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) for fellowship/mastership credit. Provider ID# 214575. The current term of the acceptance extends to December 2029. The attendance verification for the courses can be sent to membership@agd.org by the AGD member to get credits from AGD descriptors.

Exhibits Floor

To receive CE points in Category 3 for visiting the Exhibits Floor, ODA member dentists must scan in during each half day at the CE scanning stations located at the back of the Exhibits Floor. To receive CE points for the morning, scan in between 9:00 a.m. and 11:59 a.m. To receive CE points for the afternoon, scan in between 12:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Dental students

Dental students and dentists not registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) cannot claim continuing education credits for any continuing education completed before their date of registration with the RCDSO.

Dental hygienists

Supporting documentation for the Quality Assurance Program at the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario could include, but is not limited to, your ASM name badge and the ASM Show Guide, which includes the speakers’ biographies and course descriptions.

Dental assistants

Members of the Ontario Dental Assistants Association (ODAA) can earn four continuing education credits per day to a maximum of eight credits for attending for two days or more.

Denturists

Denturists can earn one continuing professional development (CPD) credit (structured) for each hour of participation in a course at the ASM and can earn one CPD credit (unstructured) for each hour of attendance at the Exhibits Floor.
