Dr. James Shosenberg, former Editor of the ODA’s award-winning journal Ontario Dentist, has updated his narrative history of the ODA that was originally published to commemorate our 125th anniversary in 1992. The Rise of the ODA: 150 Years of Organized Dentistry is sure to be a cherished keepsake for members and historians alike.To celebrate our 150th anniversary, Dr. Shosenberg will sign limited copies of a special edition onsite at ASM150.

• Take a Walk Through Dental History
The ODA, in partnership with the Museum of Health Care at Kingston, Ont., is pleased to present a slice of dental history at ASM150. See the evolution of the dental office in a unique and fascinating exhibit on Level 700 and discover how far the profession has come. The exhibit will also showcase equipment and other materials used in bringing oral health care to Ontarians over the past 150 years.

• CDA Dentsply Sirona Student Clinician Research
The ASM welcomes the CDA Dentsply Sirona Student Clinician Research Program. This program features presentations by student clinicians from all 10 Canadian dental schools. A closed judging session will be held on Thursday, May 4. ASM attendees will have the opportunity to view the posters/table clinics and speak to the student clinicians on Thursday afternoon and all day on Friday, May 5, on the Exhibit Floor.
The goal of the table clinics is to stimulate ideas, improve communication, and most of all, increase student involvement in the advancement of the dental profession. Please take a moment to stop by booth 140 and provide encouragement to these young researchers. For more information, refer to the ASM Final Program.

To obtain credit for visiting the Exhibits Floor for the morning (Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) and afternoon (Thursday, May 4, and Friday, May 5, 12:01 to 5:30 p.m.), dentists must scan in at the CE scanning stations located at the back of the Exhibits Floor, at the end of rows 100 and 1900.
