Once again, it’s time to start planning your Annual Spring Meeting (ASM) experience. ASM19 will continue in the tradition of past meetings as being a premier dental event conference and a much-anticipated annual event for dentists and their dental teams. This coming year (our 152nd!), there is a lot to look forward to.
The Education Advisory Committee has been working hard to develop a strong and comprehensive scientific program. As always, the selection of renowned speakers presenting on a plethora of clinical, practice-management and personal development topics will be sure to satisfy the learning needs and interests of dentists, as well as dental hygienists, dental assistants and other members of the dental team. New this year is the Emerging Speaker Showcase, which will include presentations from up-and-coming speakers and allow attendees to learn from a variety of topics with shorter time slots.
An exciting change for ASM19: all courses will be ticketed. Attendees have told us they want to secure their attendance in courses that tend to quickly fill up on-site. The committee has heard you, and we have implemented a new ticketing procedure. While most courses remain free of charge, preregistration will be required to reserve your spot. Please carefully review the procedure (on page 16) to learn more about this change. We have responded to your demand for more workshops and hands-on courses, so in 2019, we will be offering more workshops than ever before. These are indicated with the course codes ending in letters “PW.”
The Exhibits Floor will once again be filled with industry leaders and exhibitors of all types. Learn about and explore a variety of products and services from more than 330 exhibitors. There will also be some great feature areas planned that will help you unwind and refresh.
Enhance your ASM experience! Sign up for our complimentary cocktail receptions on the exhibits floor, held Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10. New for this year: enhanced food, beverage and live entertainment. This is a great opportunity to network and socialize with colleagues and friends.
On behalf of the ODA and the Education Advisory Committee, we look forward to welcoming you to ASM19.
